Springfield students on the MSU-West Plains campus who plan to graduate in fall 2018, spring or summer 2019 with a bachelor’s or master’s degree are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony locally at the West Plains Civic Center, or at the ceremony held on the MSU-Springfield campus. MSU-West Plains has one commencement ceremony per year (in the spring semester), while the MSU-Springfield campus holds commencement at the conclusion of each semester.
The spring 2019 commencement ceremony will be held at the West Plains Civic Center, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10 a.m. Rehearsal for commencement will be held at the West Plains Civic Center on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1 p.m.
Students should arrive at 9 a.m. at the West Plains Civic Center the day of commencement and pick up their name cards at the check-in table to carry to the stage during the ceremony. You may make changes on the name card of how you would like for your name to be announced as you walk across stage. There will be an area behind the stage for students to change into their caps and gowns. A professional photographer will take individual and group pictures prior to the ceremony. Order forms and picture prices/packages will be available.

You are eligible to attend the commencement ceremony in West Plains in the spring if you are completing your degree at the end of fall 2018, spring 2019, or have 6 hours or less to complete in order to graduate by the end of the summer 2019 semester.
