Students we advise: Students (married or with children or 22 years of age and older) wishing to seek an undergraduate degree at Missouri State University (freshmen, transfer students, second-Bachelor’s-seeking, veteran students, online students) and undergraduate students classified as independent for purposes of financial aid.
The Bear CLAW (Center for Learning and Writing) is available to help you at a distance.

Purchasing digital course materials through StreamlinED

If your course is using the StreamlinED system for materials, you will automatically have access to your textbook and course materials through Brightspace, Missouri State's learning management system. Charges will be applied directly to your Missouri State account.

Use Office 365 Education

You will be provided a license for Office 365 Education. This powerful suite of tools provides several options for online learning.
- Follow this step-by-step guide to logging into your account .
- Access online video training available through Microsoft.
- Search the Office 365 Education online knowledge base.
- Submit a request for assistance from Missouri State Computer Services.
Office 365 Education includes free downloads of the full Office suite for home use, but it also includes access to the Office web applications for Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote.
- Collaborate with other users in real-time working on Word documents online. Easily share with other University users and incorporate them into other applications, like Microsoft Teams.
- Create presentations and easily capture video/audio with PowerPoint Online.
  
  You can share with other University users and even export presentations to Microsoft Stream, an internal video streaming service.
- Create spreadsheets and manage data collaboratively within individual workbooks using Excel Online.
  
  Easily share with other University users and incorporate them into other applications, like Microsoft Teams.
- Use virtual OneNote Online/Class Notebooks for collaboration, individual course work, note taking, and more.

Use Brightspace

Brightspace is the University's academic learning management system (LMS). Brightspace may be used within online, seated, and hybrid courses.

Set up and use Zoom

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a third-party web and video conferencing technology that allows you to:

Join online class sessions and meetings
Call into sessions when internet is slow or inaccessible
Chat with other students and your instructor
Share tools and files
Participate in student breakout groups and collaborate
Use a whiteboard to illustrate course content and concepts

Request Zoom support from Computer Services.

Prepare for a job search

Missouri State's Career Center supports past and present Bears with career development services including a job search toolkit, an online career management system called Handshake, and more.

Participate in mock interviews and get the preparation you need through the Career Center.
