Nondegree Checklist

Create your BearPass Account and Email 

Now that you are officially a student at Missouri State University, you must create a BearPass Login and password to access your records and computer accounts. These accounts include: 

  • Email 
  • Brightspace
  • Accounts Receivable for misc. charges and make payments 
  • Transcript 
  • Schedule 
  • Add or drop classes 

 Log on to https://my.missouristate.edu and click the “Get an Account” link to set-up your personal BearPass account.  For technical help, contact the Computer Services Help Desk:  (417) 836-5891. 

Electronic Contracts 

In order to do business with the University online, you will need to complete the electronic agreements.

  • Go to https://My.Missouristate.edu
  • Log in using BearPass login and password
  • Profile Tab > Other Information Channel > Online Agreements > Email 

You have established your .live.MissouriState.edu email account, but you still need to connect. This email account is the communication link that the university will use to communicate with you.  To complete the setup of your email account:  Go to https://My.Missouristate.edu 

  • Log in using BearPass Login followed by @live.missouristate.edu, then password
  • Follow prompts to complete setup

Textbooks 

Reserve Books: If you plan to purchase your books from the Missouri State Bookstore, once you have registered for your class(es), you can reserve your textbooks through your my.missouristate.edu portal. The staff at the bookstore will have your books ready for you to pick up the week before the semester starts. Books purchased at the Missouri State Bookstore can be charged to your Missouri State account.

Academics Tab > Textbooks Channel > Reserve Textbooks 

Parking Permit 

You must either pay a meter or have a parking permit for your vehicle to park on campus. You can register your vehicle online at:  https://www.missouristate.edu/safetran/11379.htm or at the Transit Operations Center at 700 E. Elm St.
