Alternate Pathway Request Form

Definition of Alternate Pathways:

An Alternate Pathway program is one in which the student can complete his or her program without
the need for face-to-face, daytime (M-F), Springfield course work. As such these programs are
comprised of online, evening/weekend, off-campus, and iCourses-often as a combination of these
delivery methods.

Rationale for Alternate Pathways Program Codes: Strategic plan support and monitoring student

  • Alternate Pathways Program Codes assist the University’s long-range plan (Access to
    Success, Objective 1, Measure 2: total number of alternative pathways by program category).
  • Definition of alternate pathways program codes allow for the identification, monitoring of,
    and outcome reporting of students pursuing a Missouri State University degree through
    these pathways.

Please send a copy of the rotation of classes (course code and course number), including modality for each, and semester(s) to Successful completion of rotation would lead the student to fulfillment of the degree or certificate.
