Laura Ingalls Wilder: Exploring her work and writing life

This twelve week course will examine Wilder’s contributions to children’s literature through the Little House series as well as exploring her own background with the biography, A Writer’s Life, by author and course instructor Pamela Smith Hill.

  • Expand your understanding of the literary themes, styles, and historical underpinnings in the Little House novels.
  • Emerge with fresh insights into Wilder’s contribution to American young adult literature and her literary legacy.
Course requires access to the Little House series and Pamela Smith Hill’s A Writer’s Life. These books can be purchased worldwide and are available at your local library.
