Missouri State Online Exams
As of the Fall 2019 semester, students in Missouri State Online courses who need to take a proctored exam via Blackboard or a similar computer-based test (CBT) or on paper are REQUIRED to make appointments for all exams. Please verify our Operating Hours and Known Closures before you plan to arrive at the Testing Center. Exam appointments are scheduled via our appointment software, which enforces a strict 48-hour advance notice limit. For example, if you want to make an appointment for Wednesday at 10 AM, you must do so no later than 9:59 AM on Monday.
NOTE: Please refer to your instructor's specific exam instructions and schedule your exam using our online reservation form. Multiple appointments may be made at a time, and all exam rescheduling/cancelling can be done through the appointment software by the student up to 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule after the 24 hour limit, please email the Testing Coordinator directly at SueMcCrory@missouristate.edu.
We must have your instructor's class roster, exam information, and password (if required) for the exam on file before we can administer your exam. Instructors must complete a proctoring form via the appropriate link on the Information for Faculty page by the posted deadline. A valid (non-expired) photo ID is also required to sit for these exams - if you do not have a valid photo ID, you will not be allowed to sit for your exam. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this requirement. Examples of acceptable photo IDs include:
- A Missouri State University ID (BearPass)
- A valid (non-expired) driver's license
- A valid (non-expired) government-issued ID
All exams must be COMPLETE by posted closing times; in most cases, exams will not be permitted to begin later than ONE HOUR prior to the posted closing time. A later start time may be permitted at the discretion of the Testing Center staff. Under no circumstances will any exam be permitted to start within 30 minutes of the posted closing time. Closing times are strictly enforced.
